Cast in Stone

 Falling snow will soon lay a white blanket over
 a piece of the earth.
 And such beauty will be just a memory.
 Selected cast of stones will be stored.
 While others will have to endure old man winter
 Be beautiful inside, in your hearts,
with lasting charm of a gentle quiet spirit which is so precious..
The Book of 1 Peter
 The best part of beauty is that which no picture can express...
Bacon
 A thing of beauty is a joy forever;
It's loveliness increases;
it can never pass into nothingness.
Keats

 Holy,fair,and wise is she;
 the heaven such grace did lend her.,
that she might admired be.
William Shakespeare
 The dew of compassion is a tear.
Lord Byron
 The block of granite which is an obstacle in the pathway of the weak ,
becomes a stepping-stone in the pathway of the strong.
 Thomas Carlyle

A note: 2 statues are in my garden, 2 in my sisters garden, 1 in a cemetery,
the remaining at Tower Hill Botanical Garden

"The dew of compassion is a tear"...I love that quote. And the second statue was my favorite. Are these your statues, Shirley? This post was so gentle and beautiful.

Very nice! Loved it! Yes this time of year forces some of us to store away our treasures. I did just that last weekend.

Oh Shirley what a beautiful post! Thanks for stopping by, I'm thinking about you, know that! One of my fur babies isn't well so I'm a bit pre-occupied with her at the time, hope to get back to blogging soon, my post was a quick one today. Big Hugs Marilou
